HanseMerkur has finalized the acquisition of the Gänsemarkt site in Hamburg.
HanseMerkur Grundvermögen (HMG) has acquired the Gänsemarkt site in Hamburg from the Signa insolvency estate for at least €93 million. The project envisions an eight-storey office and retail complex comprising approximately 20,700 square metres of lettable space, scheduled for completion by 2028 in line with the original design concept.

The two companies from the Signa project group, Hamburg Gänsemarktpassage Immobilien and Hamburg Thaliahaus Immobilien, have been reported insolvent. Following the demolition of the old Gänsemarktpassage, there will consequently be no reconstruction.
